"The Shed"
I'm lucky in that I have a large 18 x 12 foot shed/workshop in the garden.  Mains electricity (essential), lathe space and a little shelf room/cabinet in which to keep tools and sundries  are all that are really required.  Space is however shared with the object of my other passion, a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.

About me

A busy father of two teenage girls, my real job is as an office manager in the international aircargo industry.  I first put my hand to wood-turning in the summer of 2005.  I made plenty of mistakes, however the family made all the right noises about these peculiarly shaped lumps of wood eminating from "The Shed".  Oooh, that's nice Dad, what is it?...

Having read Keith Rowley's excellent book, "Woodturning, A Foundation Course", I realised that I would need to spend quality hands-on time with a professional.  For this reason I booked two days with Gregory Moreton RPT. Gregory runs a number of individually tailored courses from his excellent workshop in Claygate, Surrey. Two wonderful, fun-filled days with this most engaging of characters! He serves a good lunch too...
